Cooking Difficulty
Wash and thinly slice the green onions on the diagonal.
Add 2 tablespoons oil to a large frying pan or wok. Heat the oil over medium heat until just shimmering. Add the rice and stir-fry for a few minutes, using a wooden spoon to break it apart. Stir in the soy sauce. Turn off heat and stir in the green onions.
If using, garnish the rice with dry toasted sesame seed. Place the sesame seed in a dry frying pan, turn the heat to medium and stir sesame seed until they become fragrant and begin to brown.
Serve hot.
