Ingredients
1 Pkg Legacy St.Louis Style Side Ribs
1 Tbsp Vegetable oil 15ml
2 Medium onions, roughly chopped
1 Tbsp Chopped garlic 15ml
2 Cups Beef broth 500ml
2 Cups Chopped pineapple, fresh or canned 500ml
1 Tbsp Honey 15ml
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 15ml
1 Tsp Red pepper flakes 5ml
1 Tbsp Cornstarch 15ml
Chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Cut ribs into four portions. In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown ribs in batches. Remove ribs and keep warm. Add onions and garlic to pan and sauté until onions soften. Add beef broth, pineapple chunks, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and add ribs. Allow to simmer uncovered for about 1 1/4 hours, or until meat is tender. Add more liquid if necessary. Remove ribs and thicken sauce with cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water. Serve ribs over steamed rice, topped with sauce and sprinkled with chopped cilantro.
