Ingredients:
1 tsp Sesame seeds 2 mL
4 c Chinese cabbage (Napa) 1L
3/4c red bell pepper, thinly sliced 125 mL
3/4c green bell pepper, thinly sliced 125 mL
1/2c green onions, thinly sliced 125 mL
1 tsp sugar 5 mL
1/2 tsp salt 2mL
3 tsp rice vinegar 50 mL
2 tsp vegetable oil 10 mL
1 tsp sesame oil 5 mL
2 tsp hot sauce 10 mL
Preparation:
1. Stir sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden, set aside.
2. Combine next six ingredients in a large bowl.
3. Rub mixture between your fingers to bruise the cabbage and peppers.
4. Let mixture rest for 15-30 minutes.
5. In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients and whisk to combine.
6. Toss with cabbage mixture, season to taste with salt and pepper.
7. Top with toasted sesame seeds and serve
